Responsibilities
- Provide clinical support including vital signs, injections, and EKGs
- Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Manage patient intake and documentation in EMR systems
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment
- Coordinate patient education and follow-up care
- Handle weekend patient triage and urgent care coordination
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Flexibility to work Saturdays and Sundays
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
