Responsibilities
- Administer injections, medications, and treatments under physician supervision
- Perform EKGs, vital sign monitoring, and point-of-care testing
- Assist with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- Active Kansas Medical Assistant certification required
- Minimum 1 year urgent care or emergency medicine experience
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association)
- Proficient in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, NextGen)
- Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Flexible schedule availability (Saturdays/Sundays 7am-7pm)
