Responsibilities
- Assess and stabilize patients in emergency situations using advanced triage protocols
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Document patient care accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for critical care coordination
- Educate patients and families on emergency procedures and discharge plans
- Maintain strict compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations
- Participate in rapid response and code blue activations
Qualifications
- Current Texas RN license (required)
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications (mandatory)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 5+ years ED experience considered)
- Proficiency in Epic EHR system
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in high-pressure environment
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
