Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including assessment, treatment, and stabilization
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments per protocols with precision
- Document patient encounters accurately and maintain electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
- Respond effectively to emergency situations including trauma codes and cardiac arrests
- Maintain strict compliance with hospital policies and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Maryland (or compact state)
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 2+ years ED experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1-2 years of Emergency Department experience
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-stress environments
