Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including vital signs monitoring, bathing, and mobility assistance
- Assist with medical procedures under RN supervision
- Maintain accurate patient documentation using EMR systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Ensure sterile environments and infection control protocols
- Respond to patient emergencies following established protocols
Qualifications
- Current Illinois CNA or EMT certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 6 months healthcare experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and empathy skills
- EMR system proficiency
- Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends
