Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs measurements and initial patient assessments
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and injections
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and appointment scheduling
- Collect and process lab specimens
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Valid Indiana driver's license for occasional travel
