Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vital signs, and EKGs in urgent care settings
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and patient examinations
- Administer injections and medications per provider protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Handle triage and prioritize patients based on acuity levels
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Texas Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA) required
- Minimum 1 year urgent care or emergency medicine experience
- BLS/CPR certification and phlebotomy skills preferred
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems or similar platforms
- Ability to work independently and manage high patient volumes
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish (bilingual a plus)
- Flexibility to work weekends and occasional holidays
