Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care during weekend shifts (12-hour shifts, 6am-6pm)
- Perform diagnostic tests and medical procedures as per physician protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional medical teams for seamless patient handoffs
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism
- Participate in weekend staff meetings and continuing education
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Technician or equivalent healthcare certification required
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience
- BLS/CPR certification (ACLS preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure weekend environments
- Exceptional communication and documentation skills
- Flexibility for occasional holiday coverage
- Valid Texas state healthcare license
