Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient admissions and discharge processes during weekend shifts
- Manage emergency response protocols and triage urgent cases
- Supplement clinical staff coverage across all departments
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and electronic health records
- Collaborate with on-call physicians and specialists
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies
- Facilitate seamless handover between shift teams
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years healthcare coordination experience
- Current RN or LVN license required (Texas)
- ACLS/BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Exceptional emergency response and decision-making skills
- Proficiency with Epic EMR systems
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations
- Weekend availability mandatory (Sat/Sun 7am-7pm)
- Spanish fluency preferred
