Responsibilities
- Coordinate urgent weekend logistics operations across Chicago metropolitan area
- Monitor real-time shipment tracking and resolve delivery exceptions
- Communicate with drivers, clients, and warehouse teams via phone/digital platforms
- Update logistics databases and generate weekend performance reports
- Implement emergency response protocols for shipment delays or disruptions
- Train weekend staff on operational procedures and compliance standards
- Collaborate with weekday team for handover and continuity planning
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in logistics or supply chain coordination
- Proven ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Strong problem-solving skills with emergency response experience
- Proficient in logistics software (e.g., TMS, WMS) and MS Office Suite
- Excellent verbal/written communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally for warehouse inspections
- Flexibility to work Saturdays and Sundays (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
