Responsibilities
- Conduct foot patrols and surveillance of assigned premises to prevent security breaches
- Monitor CCTV systems and respond promptly to alarms or suspicious activities
- Enforce access control procedures and verify credentials of all personnel
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate activity logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
- Provide exceptional customer service to visitors and staff
- Operate emergency equipment including fire suppression systems
Qualifications
- Must be 21+ years old with valid Illinois Firearm Permit (or willing to obtain immediately)
- High school diploma or equivalent required; security certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year security or law enforcement experience
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts
- Must pass extensive background check and drug screening
