Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care support including vital sign monitoring and medication assistance
- Assist with patient mobility, hygiene, and daily living activities
- Accurately document patient observations in electronic health records
- Collaborate with weekend nursing teams to ensure seamless care transitions
- Maintain sterile environments and follow infection control protocols
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations
- Support administrative tasks during weekend coverage periods
Qualifications
- Current CNA or Medical Assistant certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in acute or long-term care
- Availability for every Saturday and Sunday shift (6AM-2PM or 2PM-10PM)
- BLS/CPR certification (must maintain current status)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Proficiency with EHR systems (experience with Epic preferred)
- Passion for weekend-focused patient care in underserved communities
