Responsibilities
- Oversee 15+ nursing staff in high-acuity emergency department
- Implement patient care protocols ensuring JCAHO compliance
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care teams during critical incidents
- Mentor staff through continuous education initiatives
- Conduct performance evaluations and develop improvement plans
- Manage departmental budget and resource allocation
- Lead quality improvement projects focusing on patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Florida (or compact state)
- 5+ years ER nursing experience with 2+ years leadership
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- BSN degree (MSN preferred)
- Strong knowledge of EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- Demonstrated crisis management skills
- Experience with Joint Commission standards
- Proven track record in staff development
