Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced emergency nursing care to trauma patients in fast-paced critical care units
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during code blue and mass casualty incidents
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and interpret diagnostic results
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with JCAHO standards
- Provide patient/family education and emotional support during high-stress situations
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Louisiana RN license (compact license acceptable)
- Minimum 2 years ER or critical care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 5+ years experience considered)
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to perform under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
