Responsibilities
- Provide advanced critical care for trauma patients in 20-bed ICU unit
- Administer life-saving interventions including ventilator management and rapid response protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during emergency situations
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with 100% compliance
- Mentor new nurses and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Participate in 24/7 rotational coverage with guaranteed overtime opportunities
Qualifications
- Active Louisiana RN license (Compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years ICU/trauma experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications mandatory
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 5+ years experience considered)
- Experience with Epic EHR system preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts with rapid response readiness
- Strong communication skills during emergency situations
