Responsibilities
- Provide advanced critical care for ICU patients including ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Document patient assessments and care plans with precision and timeliness
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop patient-centered care strategies
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards
- Educate patients and families on post-hospital care plans
- Respond rapidly to emergency situations with calm professionalism
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Kentucky (or compact license)
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred)
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- EMR proficiency (Epic preferred)
