Responsibilities
- Provide advanced critical care to cardiac patients using evidence-based protocols
- Administer medications and monitor life-support systems (ventilators, IABP)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during rapid response events
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with 100% compliance
- Precept new nurses and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Respond to emergency situations with calm, decisive action
Qualifications
- Current Texas RN license (compact license accepted)
- ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience
- BSN degree preferred (ADN with 5+ years experience considered)
- Experience with cardiac monitoring devices
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts (days/nights/weekends)
