Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Perform vital signs and basic diagnostic tests
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately
- Administer injections and medications as prescribed
- Schedule appointments and maintain patient flow efficiently
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
- Coordinate with insurance billing department
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in urgent care or clinic setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth)
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Exceptional communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
