Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during night shifts, including vital signs assessment and medication administration
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and emergency response protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and documentation
- Prepare and manage medical supplies, equipment, and examination rooms
- Coordinate patient scheduling and communication across departments
- Respond to patient inquiries and triage urgent calls during overnight hours
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Current Washington State Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital or urgent care setting
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions during night shifts
- Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence for overnight patient interactions
- Flexibility to work variable night shifts including weekends and holidays
- Background check and drug screen required
