Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Administer medications and injections per physician orders
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic lab tests
- Maintain accurate patient records in EHR systems
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment
- Handle patient scheduling and insurance verification
- Respond to after-hours patient calls and emergencies
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Night shift availability required (11 PM - 7 AM)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently in urgent situations
- New Mexico BLS license or willingness to obtain
