Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including vitals, injections, and wound management
- Administer medications and treatment protocols under physician supervision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and triage during overnight emergency responses
- Assist with patient education and discharge planning
- Collaborate with night shift nursing and emergency teams
- Ensure strict HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Current Maryland Medical Assistant certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in fast-paced environment
- BLS/CPR certification (must maintain current)
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs
- Valid Maryland driver's license for on-call emergencies
