Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories accurately
- Assist providers during clinical procedures and administer medications as directed
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis
- Maintain electronic health records (EHR) systems with HIPAA-compliant precision
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic healthcare solutions
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Michigan Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong communication skills with diverse populations
- Ability to multitask effectively in high-pressure situations
- Valid Michigan driver's license for occasional off-site visits
- Spanish language proficiency highly desirable
