Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely operate material handling equipment to load and unload trucks and trailers in accordance with safety protocols.
- Inventory Management: Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Picking and Packing: Efficiently pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping with a focus on speed and accuracy.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and perform basic maintenance checks on forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to OSHA regulations and company safety policies to ensure a secure working environment for all personnel.
- Organization: Keep the warehouse aisles clear, organized, and tidy to optimize workflow efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with shift supervisors and team members to resolve operational issues quickly.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required; training provided for qualified candidates.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a consistent basis.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Documentation: Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills and willingness to work in a team-oriented setting.
- Equipment Operation: Forklift certification (preferred) or willingness to obtain one.
