Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including vital sign monitoring and medication administration
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and maintain accurate patient records
- Manage patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations during weekend shifts
- Perform diagnostic tests including EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen processing
- Deliver exceptional patient education and support to diverse NYC populations
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in fast-paced healthcare setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification and NY State medical assistant license
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Exceptional communication skills and cultural competency for NYC patient base
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions during weekend shifts
- Flexibility to cover rotating weekend schedules (Sat/Sun 7am-7pm)
