Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vital signs, and medical history documentation
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and minor surgical tasks
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, equipment, and sterile supplies
- Handle patient scheduling, insurance verification, and billing processes
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in urgent care or fast-paced setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficient in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure weekend environments
- Flexibility to cover rotating weekend shifts (Sat-Sun 7am-7pm)
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities
