Responsibilities
- Perform vital sign assessments and patient intake documentation
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and examinations
- Administer injections and medications under provider supervision
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms and medical equipment
- Handle patient scheduling and insurance verification
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA protocols
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification required
- Minimum 1 year urgent care or fast-paced clinic experience
- Flexible availability for weekend shifts (Sat/Sun, 12-hour shifts)
- Proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Exceptional communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
