As a Night Shift Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our systems remain operational and secure while the rest of the world sleeps. You will be the first line of defense for technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime for our business operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide tier 2 technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Monitor system performance and logs to proactively identify potential outages.
- Manage and patch network security protocols to prevent unauthorized access.
- Perform routine maintenance and backups of critical data systems during off-peak hours.
- Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets with a focus on speed and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the day shift team to document technical solutions and hand over critical issues.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and manage software licenses.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a related technical field.
- Must be available to work a rotating night shift schedule (e.g., 10 PM - 6 AM).
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or CCNA are highly preferred.
