Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare and administer medications under provider supervision
- Perform EKGs, vital signs, and basic lab tests
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule appointments
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked and sanitized
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in urgent care or clinic
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficient in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth)
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in high-volume settings
- Flexibility to work weekends/holidays as needed
- Background check and drug screen clearance
