Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in emergency settings, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments with precision and compassion
- Document patient records accurately and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge procedures
- Respond efficiently to critical situations and prioritize patient needs
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings
Qualifications
- Active California RN license required
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 2+ years ED experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience in emergency/trauma setting
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications mandatory
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and medical staff
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and multitask effectively
