Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end spacecraft systems for 2026 lunar/Mars missions
- Lead integration of AI-driven autonomous navigation and fault-tolerant control systems
- Develop secure quantum-encrypted deep-space communication protocols
- Collaborate with NASA/JPL on mission-critical trajectory optimization
- Validate systems in simulated extreme environments (radiation, thermal, vacuum)
- Mentor junior engineers in advanced systems engineering methodologies
- Present technical architecture to international space agency stakeholders
Qualifications
- MS/PhD in Aerospace, Electrical, or Systems Engineering with 8+ years experience
- Proven track record in spacecraft/satellite systems architecture
- Expertise in DOORS, SysML, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Deep knowledge of space radiation effects mitigation and fault-tolerant design
- Experience with autonomous systems (ROS, Gazebo, NASA's FSW frameworks)
- Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain
- Prior involvement in NASA/ESA/SpaceX projects preferred
