Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS
- Lead CI/CD pipeline optimization and infrastructure-as-code implementations
- Mentor 3+ junior engineers through code reviews and architectural discussions
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Conduct system performance tuning and troubleshoot production issues
- Drive cloud migration projects and multi-region deployments
- Contribute to open-source projects and present at local tech meetups
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (8+ years total)
- Expertise in Java, Python, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong AWS/Azure certification (Solutions Architect or equivalent)
- Proven track record leading microservices projects at scale
- Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ)
- Proficient in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with system design experience
- Portfolio demonstrating complex system deployments
