We are seeking a visionary Senior SEO Specialist to lead our organic growth initiatives in San Francisco. As a key player on our marketing team, you will drive traffic, improve search visibility, and optimize user acquisition channels. You will combine technical expertise with creative strategy to ensure our brand remains at the forefront of digital discovery.
In this role, you will own the SEO roadmap, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with cross-functional departments to deliver measurable results that impact the bottom line.
Responsibilities
- Technical SEO Audits: Conduct comprehensive technical audits of our web infrastructure to identify and resolve crawl errors, improve site speed, and optimize for Core Web Vitals.
- Keyword Strategy & Research: Execute in-depth keyword research to uncover high-value search opportunities and develop content strategies that align with user intent.
- On-Page Optimization: Lead the implementation of on-page SEO best practices, including metadata optimization, header structures, and internal linking strategies.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) using Google Analytics 4 and Search Console; provide actionable insights and weekly performance reports.
- Link Building: Develop and execute a white-hat link acquisition strategy to enhance domain authority and increase referral traffic.
- Algorithm Adaptation: Stay ahead of Google algorithm updates and industry trends to protect and grow organic search rankings.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in SEO, with a track record of significantly improving organic traffic and search rankings.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; familiarity with technical SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, and SEMrush.
- Analytics: Strong proficiency in Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and data analysis tools.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to executive stakeholders.
- Tools: Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, or similar) is highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
