Job Description
We are seeking a visionary Senior Quantum Software Engineer to join our elite Project 2026 division. As the world transitions into the era of quantum supremacy, Nexus Future Labs is building the digital infrastructure for tomorrow. You will not just write code; you will architect the algorithms that will redefine computation.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between theoretical physics and practical application, ensuring our quantum systems are scalable, secure, and ready for the enterprise market of 2026 and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Algorithm Development: Design and implement advanced quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning tasks.
- System Integration: Develop hybrid classical-quantum software stacks to maximize current hardware capabilities while preparing for future fault-tolerant architectures.
- Error Mitigation: Create robust software frameworks to detect and correct quantum errors in real-time processing environments.
- Research & Prototyping: Conduct rigorous testing of new quantum hardware interfaces and proprietary software libraries.
- Collaboration: Partner with physicists and data scientists to translate complex physical models into executable quantum code.
Qualifications
- Education: Masterβs or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field with a focus on quantum information science.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years specifically focused on quantum computing or high-performance computing.
- Programming: Proficiency in Python, C++, and Rust. Experience with quantum software development kits (SDKs) such as Qiskit, Cirq, or PyQuil.
- Hardware Knowledge: Familiarity with quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped ion, or photonic) and cloud-based quantum computing platforms (AWS Braket, Google Cloud Quantum, IBM Quantum).
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of solving complex, abstract computational problems.
