Responsibilities
- Algorithm Development: Design, implement, and optimize quantum circuits and algorithms to solve complex computational problems, focusing on optimization and machine learning tasks.
- Qiskit & SDKs: Utilize advanced quantum SDKs (Qiskit, Cirq, or OpenQASM) to translate theoretical physics concepts into executable quantum code.
- Hardware Co-Design: Work closely with our hardware engineering team to ensure software algorithms are tailored to the specific noise profiles and qubit topologies of our quantum processors.
- Simulation & Modeling: Develop classical simulation environments to validate quantum algorithms before deployment on real quantum hardware.
- Research & Publication: Contribute to cutting-edge research papers and patents, sharing our findings with the global quantum computing community.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and developers, fostering a culture of innovation and rigorous technical excellence within the team.
Qualifications
- Education: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, with a focus on Quantum Computing or Computational Complexity.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years specifically focused on quantum computing or advanced algorithm design.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum programming frameworks. Strong understanding of linear algebra and probability theory.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to tackle open-ended problems and think critically about the limitations of current quantum hardware.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
