Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive 2026 strategic foresight frameworks using horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario planning methodologies
- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify disruptive technologies and market opportunities with 5-10 year impact horizons
- Produce executive-level reports synthesizing complex data into actionable strategic recommendations
- Establish innovation pipelines for emerging technologies (quantum AI, neuro-interfaces, synthetic biology)
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype future-state business models and customer experiences
- Build and manage a global network of futurists, technologists, and industry thought leaders
- Drive organizational culture of forward-thinking through internal education and futurist training programs
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist roles with Fortune 500 or high-growth tech companies
- Expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and systemic trend analysis methodologies
- Proven track record of translating foresight into successful commercial strategies or products
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, Business Strategy, or related field
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, nanotech)
- Exceptional storytelling skills with executive presentation experience
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., CSF, WFS) or equivalent practical experience
- Portfolio demonstrating published futurist work or implemented strategic foresight initiatives
