Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify disruptive technologies with 2026+ market potential
- Develop quantitative and qualitative future scenarios for strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with C-suite to translate foresight into actionable R&D priorities
- Build and lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering/product teams
- Author annual 'Future State' reports for board and investor audiences
- Establish partnerships with academic labs and emerging tech startups
- Mentor junior futurists through our foresight certification program
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategy, innovation, or futures research with Fortune 500 exposure
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercialized products/services
- Expertise in emerging tech: AI, quantum computing, biotech, or sustainable systems
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Exceptional data storytelling skills with executive presentation experience
- Published thought leadership in tech/innovation publications
- Proficient in futures methodologies (e.g., Delphi, scenario planning)
