Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive horizon scanning to identify and analyze disruptive technologies, geopolitical shifts, and socioeconomic trends impacting 2026 market landscapes
- Develop and publish annual '2026 Vision' strategic reports with quantifiable impact assessments and scenario modeling
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops with engineering, product, and leadership teams to embed foresight into product roadmaps
- Establish and maintain a global network of futurists, academics, and industry pioneers for continuous trend validation
- Create and maintain innovation dashboards tracking key 2026 indicators (AI evolution, climate tech adoption, quantum computing maturity)
- Present strategic recommendations to the board of directors with data-driven risk/benefit analyses
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal foresight capability framework
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future studies with proven impact on multi-year planning
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, Systems Thinking, or equivalent interdisciplinary field
- Deep expertise in at least three 2026-relevant domains: AI/ML, quantum computing, climate tech, biotechnology, or Web3 infrastructure
- Exceptional data storytelling abilities with experience translating complex scenarios into executive-level insights
- Published thought leadership in futurism (white papers, industry journals, conference keynotes)
- Proficiency in strategic foresight methodologies (Horizon Scanning, Delphi Analysis, Scenario Planning)
- Experience building and scaling innovation frameworks within Fortune 500 or tech-scale environments
- Portfolio demonstrating successful integration of foresight into product development or corporate strategy
