Responsibilities
- Architect & Build: Design and develop high-performance, scalable web applications from the ground up using modern technologies.
- Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while conducting rigorous code reviews for the team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define feature requirements and technical specifications.
- Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in the application stack and implement optimizations to ensure sub-second load times.
- Mentorship: Guide junior developers and contribute to the team's technical growth and knowledge base.
- Testing: Implement comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure system stability and reliability.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Frontend: Proficiency in React (or Angular/Vue) and TypeScript.
- Backend: Strong understanding of Node.js, Express, or Python.
- Database: Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
- Cloud: Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud services.
- Location: Must be based in Seattle, WA (or willing to commute to our downtown office).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
