Responsibilities
- Provide advanced emergency care to trauma patients in high-pressure situations
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care teams including physicians, specialists, and support staff
- Administer medications, treatments, and life-saving interventions per protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in Epic EMR system
- Train and mentor junior nursing staff during critical incidents
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- BSN required; MSN preferred
- 5+ years ER/trauma nursing experience in Level 1 trauma center
- Current Illinois RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications
- Proven ability to handle mass casualty events and critical care scenarios
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Experience with Epic EMR and electronic documentation systems
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
