Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid recovery.
- Implement and monitor advanced security controls to protect against cyber threats.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal standards such as NIST, FISMA, and CUI.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle.
- Provide security training and awareness programs to staff members.
Qualifications
- CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Active Top Secret/Secret Clearance (District of Columbia).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity or information security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and security tools (e.g., Splunk, FireEye, SIEM).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and stakeholder updates.
