Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct thorough threat hunting and incident response activities to neutralize active cyberattacks.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively secure infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI-DSS.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and incident response plans.
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Train junior analysts and conduct security awareness training for staff.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a Senior Analyst or SOC Lead role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Hands-on experience with SIEM solutions, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation and forensics.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
