Responsibilities
- Lead 24/7 threat detection and incident response for high-value assets
- Conduct advanced vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop and implement security monitoring protocols using SIEM tools
- Collaborate with federal partners on threat intelligence sharing
- Document security incidents and prepare executive-level reports
- Mentor junior analysts and improve security workflows
- Stay current on emerging cyber threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with federal sector experience preferred
- Certified CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and FISMA compliance
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network protocols
- Ability to obtain Secret clearance (pre-existing clearance a major plus)
- Exceptional problem-solving under pressure
- Excellent communication skills for technical/non-technical stakeholders
