Responsibilities
- Develop, program, and edit complex G-code for CNC milling and turning centers.
- Set up and operate CNC machines, including 5-axis equipment, to produce high-tolerance parts.
- Conduct in-process inspections and quality control measures to ensure adherence to blueprints and specifications.
- Mentor junior machinists and provide technical guidance on programming and setup procedures.
- Optimize tool paths and machining parameters to reduce cycle times and material waste.
- Collaborate with design engineering to troubleshoot part designs and improve manufacturability.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC programming and machining.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Fanuc, Siemens, or Mazak.
- Advanced knowledge of CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, SolidWorks, or FeatureCAM).
- Strong ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings.
- Associate degree in Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
