Responsibilities
- Engineer High-Performance Graphics: Develop and optimize 2D rendering engines using HTML5 Canvas, SVG, and WebGL to ensure 60fps performance across all devices.
- Creative Collaboration: Partner with UX/UI designers and frontend developers to translate static mockups into complex, interactive 2D animations and micro-interactions.
- Asset Optimization: Compress and optimize image assets and vector graphics (SVG) to minimize load times without sacrificing visual fidelity.
- Browser Compatibility: Write robust, cross-browser compatible code that handles edge cases and varying screen resolutions gracefully.
- Animation Libraries: Integrate and extend third-party libraries (GSAP, Anime.js, Pixi.js) to enhance storytelling capabilities.
- Code Maintenance: Maintain and refactor existing codebases, ensuring scalability and adherence to modern development standards (ES6+, modular architecture).
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in web development, specifically focusing on 2D graphics and animations.
- Technical Mastery: Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5 Canvas, WebGL, and SVG.
- Animation Proficiency: Deep understanding of the animation lifecycle, easing functions, and requestAnimationFrame.
- Tools: Expert knowledge of design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite) to understand assets and collaborate effectively.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Fine Arts, or a related technical field.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
