Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum processing units (QPUs) with 10,000+ qubit capacity
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum operations
- Create hybrid computing frameworks bridging classical HPC and quantum accelerators
- Lead security architecture for quantum-resistant encryption systems
- Optimize quantum algorithms for real-time financial modeling applications
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum hardware-software co-design
- Author patents for novel quantum communication protocols
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 5+ years experience in quantum circuit design or superconducting systems
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum error correction
- Expertise in cryogenic engineering and quantum control systems
- Security clearance eligibility for DoD-funded projects
- Track record of commercializing quantum technologies
