Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in logistics and drug discovery
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to mitigate quantum decoherence effects
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional research projects using quantum machine learning frameworks
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at major conferences
- Contribute to quantum security protocols post-quantum cryptography standards
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing fundamentals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing focus
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
- Familiarity with NISQ-era hardware constraints and error mitigation techniques
- Strong Python/C++ development skills with scientific computing libraries
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
