Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware performance metrics
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum-accelerated machine learning models
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at industry conferences
- Secure and manage research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum physics and computational theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Published research in quantum information science or top-tier conferences
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with strong mathematical foundations
- Demonstrated understanding of quantum decoherence and error correction
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Ability to translate complex concepts into actionable research roadmaps
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government collaborations
