Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum experiments using superconducting qubit systems
- Develop novel error-correction protocols for quantum coherence
- Optimize quantum algorithm performance for practical applications
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives with AI and materials science teams
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Secure federal grants and private partnerships for quantum advancement
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on quantum computing lab experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum assembly languages
- Published work in quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence mechanisms
- Strong background in cryogenic systems and microwave engineering
