Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in logistics, finance, and pharmaceuticals
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-resistant encryption systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum processor performance
- Develop machine learning models leveraging quantum advantage for pattern recognition
- Secure patents and publish research in IEEE Nature journals
- Mentor junior researchers and supervise PhD interns
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from government and industry partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Q#, Qiskit, or Cirq)
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Ability to secure research funding through grant writing
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government contracts
