Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental research on superconducting qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to improve quantum error correction techniques
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for real-world applications
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure $500k+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in Nature or Science journals
- Proficiency in Python/C++ and quantum circuit design
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or ion traps
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- US citizenship or valid security clearance for government contracts
